Strategic Thinking

Facilitated Strategic Thinking is a process for a CEO/General Manager and his or her management team to examine the future, identify current reality and connect the dots by fleshing out the critical issues that must be addressed. You will develop a clear path to success and develop confidence in your strategic direction. This is not necessarily an annual event. Strategy should change when a) you have new significant information such as the competitive environment or b) your assumptions about the future change.
One-on-one strategy reviews can be effective for a CEO to walk through his or her vision, assumptions, strategy, plans, critical issues, core competencies and ability to execute. Sometimes a survey tool will be employed. This is primarily a diagnostic and assessment process rather than a strategy development process. Our belief is that strategy development should be done in a collaborative, team environment unless it is a very small firm.
The Strategic Thinking Workshop. Your executive team must understand the concepts of strategy to think strategically. This half-day workshop will get everyone on the same page, prepare them to think strategically and provide the process to do so.
Customized strategic solutions are sometimes necessary, building upon the processes identified above. Organizations are all in different places with regard to their development and execution of strategy. This would typically first involve a brief discovery project to identify the current situation and a proposed solution.
